Children and Adult Classes

Baby Ballet - Ages 2-1/2 - 4. Dancing, game playing, balance and coordination activities, fine motor skills, and pre-tumbling and "Ballerina" theme creative drama. (Moms welcome to join or watch)
Princess "Bella-Rina" - Ages 3 - 5. A fairy-tale themed, creative ballet class for the precocious, imaginative young ballerina.
Taps Toes & Tumblin - Ages 4 - 6. An introduction to tap and ballet with balance and basic tumbling all in one great class. Ballet and tap shoes are required.
Ballet - The classic form - ages listed with class listing.
Tap - All ages. Great for the whole family. Let's tap together.
Move It - Ages 7 - teen. A fun dance class stressing fitness and health thru exercise. Varied teachers and activities each week alway emphasizing the fun of movement and its great health benefits. Like Michelle Obama says,"Let's Move It"!
Dance, Dance, Dance - Ages 5 - 8. Tap, Jazz, Ballet and tumbling make this one of our most popular classes. A great introduction to dance. Classes II and Adv. made for the continuing student.
Jazz - Dance like a Broadway or TV star.
Musical Theatre - Dance like a BROADWAY star! This class explores various popular musicals and BROADWAY choreography.
Modern - Graham Technique. Based on centered, lengthening efficient movement. A very relaxing style.
Hip-Hop - The "coolest" new moves to the latest new music. Dance like the best MTV Music Video Stars.
Dance Squad - Made specifically for girls that want to try out for their school's Pom, Dance or Cheerleading team. Lots of precision, line dancing and kicks.
Turns and Techniques - Polish up these skills needed for poms and dance teams.
Adults
Dance 'N Fit - This class offers great aerobic conditioning and some shaping and strengthing work. If you love to DANCE, you'll love this fun class! Routines based on ballet, tap, and jazz. Wear comfortable clothing and good aerobic shoes.

Jazz Funk - "Urban" or "street" dancing along with traditional Jazz.
ZUMBA - The fabulous new Latin workout class, famous nationwide and now here in Glen Ellyn. Taught by our own fabulous Vanesa. Come try it, you'll love it.... easy choreography, great music!
Belly Dancing - This very popular Middle Eastern dance form "RAQS SHARQI", sometimes called Arabic Dance, engages all parts of the body especially the core. Expressive and creative, its popularity has spread worldwide.

Shape Up and Ultimate Programs
Director and Creator: Sharon Scherr, M.S.Shape Up - A total body workout and toner with lots of dancing all choreographed to the best music around. This popular program starts wtih a 15-20 minute dance/exercise segment, moves through a stationary standing arm and leg workout, goes back to a cardiovascular dance segment, travels to do a plyometric barre sequence and finishes the standing portion of the class with a great dance. Class moves to the floor to work abduction/adduction of legs, abdominals and gluteals. Class finishes with a standing finale of slow movement using upper and lower body flexion.
Shape Up "55" (minutes) - For new and continuing students who wish to learn basic dance and jazz with stationary floor work, barre work and anatomical techniques to make this a great workout.
Shape Up "70" (minutes) - Course content is the same as Shape Up "55" just 15 minutes linger. A higher level of cardiovascular endurance is attained through less review of dance material, added dances, and extended barre and floor work.
* Ultimate 1 - This is a combination class giving the student a great workout using dances from Level 1 & 2, stationary barre, floor work and tension bands. A 70 minute workout, with emphasis in aerobic conditioning and core development.
* Ultimate 2 - This is a 75 minute combination class giving you a terrific workout by doing 40-45 minutes of dance, and 25-30 minutes of hand weights, ankle weights, tension bands, core development and step.
* Ultimate 3 - End of the week "killer class" combining all aspects of Ultimate 1 and 2 in a 100 minute format.
PLEASE NOTE - *Ultimate 1, 2 & 3 students - Two shape-up classes are recommended for these classes. Please see Sharon if you have a conflict in meeting this recommendation. Student must supply weights and tension bands. Maximun 20 students per class.
Private Fitness Training - Classes are available from Sharon on a contractual basis this session. Please see her for specific times.
